Tragedy Assistant Program for Survivors also known as T.A.P.S
T.A.P.S is a non-profit organization that supplies on going support to those that have lost a family member while serving in the armed forces. It does not matter your relationship to your loved one they will be there for you in your time of need. The circumstance's surrounding the death of your loved one does not matter to T.A.P.S they are there to offer you support.
Programs T.A.P.S offers
- T.A.P.S offers peer support for those that have the need to connect to others in similar circumstances.
- They also offer seminars and Good Grief Camps.
- They also have local support groups through out the country.
- The offer support for Battle Buddies for those that served and lost a member of their team
- Education webinars
- and many more.
T.A.P.S Fundraisers
T.A.P.S is continually doing fundraisers to support their cause and honor those that have served. Here is a list of some of their bigger fundraisers.
- Run and Remember Team-Teams run in honor of the fallen at local races to help to earn money for T.A.P.S
- The Marine Corps Marathon
- They also have an online gift shop that helps to raise money as well
T.A.P.S History
T.A.P.S was found by Bonnie Carroll after the death of her husband, Brigadier General Tom Carroll, in an Army plane crash in 1992.
